In this DVD we will walk you through various chemical labels to identify and understand the information contained by: introducing the user to the three parts of the label, explaining the legal status of product labels, ensuring awareness of the terms "registered uses" and "withholding period", enabling the user to interpret the "directions for use" on the label, familiarising the user with the "poisons schedules", introducing the user to "hazard symbols" and "safety directions" on labels and ensuring the user knows the sources of additional information.

Diesel Mechanics: 2-testing a VE distributor type fuel injection pump

Demonstrates the use of the Hartridge 2500 Diesel Test Bench. The pump under test is a Diesel Kiki (Zexel) VE fuel injection pump. The program shows the International Standard Test Specs for the pump under test and demonstrates the test involved in testing and calibrating the pump. In this programme we aim to inform the viewer of the need to wear appropriate protective equipment and to wear it correctly by: explaining the different ways pesticides can enter the body, showing and explaining the different types of protective equipment, how it should be worn, cleaned and the correct storage procedure, showing the different types of respirator cartridges (how to identify the correct cartridge for a particular use and how to judge when a cartridge should be replaced) and expelling the common symptoms of poisoning and describing the action that should be taken in the event of poisoning.

It is critical to understand the anticipated level or risk associated with the handling and use of all types of chemicals. In this DVD we will look at: hazard identification, assessing the degree of risk, risk control measures and setting priorities for risk management.
