Personal Safety and Protection (SafeTChem)

In this programme we aim to inform the viewer of the need to wear appropriate protective equipment and to wear it correctly by: explaining the different ways pesticides can enter the body, showing and explaining the different types of protective equipment, how it should be worn, cleaned and the correct storage procedure, showing the different types of respirator cartridges (how to identify the correct cartridge for a particular use and how to judge when a cartridge should be replaced) and expelling the common symptoms of poisoning and describing the action that should be taken in the event of poisoning.
