Description

In this DVD we will walk you through various chemical labels to identify and understand the information contained by: introducing the user to the three parts of the label, explaining the legal status of product labels, ensuring awareness of the terms "registered uses" and "withholding period", enabling the user to interpret the "directions for use" on the label, familiarising the user with the "poisons schedules", introducing the user to "hazard symbols" and "safety directions" on labels and ensuring the user knows the sources of additional information.

Office of DPP Open Day - From Crime to Court

On February 10th 2006 the first South Australian Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Open Day was held in the main auditorium of the University of South Australia. This two DVD package covers the crime scenario and each specialist speaker. It is suggested that you view the crime scenario first followed by each speaker in sequential order. The following Speakers appear on the DVD: The Crime, First Attending Police, Forensic Science, Investigation Officer, Committal Solicitor, Witness Assistance, General Solicitor, The Trial Process and Sentencing. This DVD package also contains a CD with printable files as PDFs. These files include a glossary of legal terminology and a sheet of frequently asked questions. The package would be of interest to students undertaking legal studies or anyone who was interested in finding out how the Office of the South Australian Director of Public Prosecutions operates.

Signing naturally: AUSLAN units 16 and 17 (silent)

The Signing Naturally Student video DVD text Level 2 was adapted from the American Sign Language (ASL) and culture into Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN) and culture. The video DVD text is designed to provide users with an opportunity to review and practice what is learned in the classroom as well as to increase comprehension of signed narratives. this DVD resolves around a major language function: nationalisation and family histories; communicative approach is the language used in everyday conversation. Fumigation Safety (SafeTChem)

This programme details and highlights the precautions and legal requirements needed to undertake Fumigation. It shows different applications, uses of fumigants and a case study of fumigating and on-farm silo with Phosphine tablets to demonstrate safety requirements and best practice. The programme is divided into 5 sections: introduction, behaviours and effectiveness of fumigants, safe work practices with fumigants, after successful application, emergency procedures and summary.  Duration: 24 minutes
