Botany is the scientific study of plants. This unit includes aspects of botany which will be relevant to agriculture, horticulture and conservation and land management.  Botany can be divided into four different areas: Morphology - the study of the external features of plants; Anatomy - the study of the internal features of plants; Physiology - the study of plant processes; Taxonomy - the classification of plants.  This unit concentrates on the morphology of plants, but also covers small sections of anatomy, physiology and taxonomy.
