This resource is a visual and interactive learning experience that provides links between everyday language and workplace language for Aboriginal childcare students. 3D animated scenarios using voices of Aboriginal people provide information based on real indigenous childcare settings. The scenarios provide some links and strategies for dealing with tensions or dilemmas that may arise due to different styles between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal approaches in child-rearing practices. Activities reinforce information in the scenarios and provide instant feedback. The writers have based this learning resource on current research in the area of Indigenous learning. They wish to acknowledge the support and assistance of the staff from the Ceduna and Koonibba Childcare Services in South Australia. Produced in 2005.
