TAFE SA’s Active Educator Journal has been created to support self-evaluation and reflective practice. This user-friendly tool helps educators document and analyse their thoughts and feelings, and can be used as a prompt to aid discussion and professional inquiry with the intent of promoting contemporary practices in early childhood education and care settings.

Work collaboratively to maintain an environment safe for children and young people

Children have less power to influence their world compared to the adults with whom they have contact. Although this power increases with age, it is always less than that of adults. People who work with children must be especially aware of their obligation to ensure that children's rights are respected and protected.
