Foster the holistic development and wellbeing of the child in early childhood

This learning guide covers the knowledge and skills that you require to foster the development of children aged from birth to six years. You wil be able to use your knowledge of child development to monitor assess and plan for children's unique needs ,growth, development and independence during this time . As you will recall from your earlier studies the domains of development are intertwined and intricately linked; therefore as you learn to foster children's ongoing development you do so with a holistic view of development across three key age ranges: babies and infants 0 - 2 years, toddlers 2 - 3 years, kindergarten to school age 3 - 6 years.
