The objectives of this module are to understand the principles of Human Resources Management and to assist the client examine, implement and evaluate the Human Resource Plan for a small business. Human Resources Management is one of the cornerstones of a successful small business. The small business counsellor must be capable of assisting the client to address the various people issues associated with operating a small business. The human resources plan (hiring, training, compensation, motivation and staff relations) are areas that the small business counsellor must be familiar with and be prepared to discuss with their clients.
