This unit of competency focuses on the skills and knowledge required by workers to identify, analyse and respond to risk events. It also discusses strategies for managing risk – for maximising the results of positive events and minimizing the consequences of adverse events. Finally, we discuss the review of the risk management plan and recording of lessons to be learned from following through the risk management cycle. The learning materials consist of three topics.
