This data CD contains .wmv video files describing fundamental principles of infection control practise in the clinical dental setting. It is suitable for all members of the dental team who contribute to patient care in the dental clinic. The infection control principles demonstrated could also be applied to other heath related industries. The procedures demonstrated are: hand hygiene (hand washing and the use of alcohol gel), correct use of personal protective equipment including masks, eye protection and gloves as well as everyday infection control procedures associated with patient treatment and management of equipment in the dental surgery. All procedures shown follow the current Australia and New Zealand guidelines and standards. Duration of each .wmv video is 38 minutes. (Requires a Windows PC or a Apple Macintosh)
