Description

Orthopaedic nursing involves caring for clients with disorders of the musculoskeletal system and can range from simple broken bones to multiple fractures from trauma such a motor vehicle accidents, to chronic bone and joint diseases. Orthopaedic nursing covers the full spectrum of the life span. Orthopaedic nurses practice in any and all situations where clients with musculoskeletal disorders receive care, including acute care, out client surgical, extended care, and home and community environments.
