The focus of risk management has emerged as a result of cases where there has been a failure to identify or respond to risk, resulting in accident or other loss. Risk management is also an essential factor for obtaining insurance. Risk management has become a formalized approach which helps to ensure that workers and organisations are accountable for all activities and responses thereby minimizing the consequences of adverse events.
