Hot Shrinking (Panel Beating)

That steel expands when heated and contracts when it cools is well known. What this presentation explains is that the contraction is rather more than the expansion. In other words, it shrinks. This is followed by a practical type of demonstration which features how this phenomenon can be used to advantage by a panel beater.
