Visual Merchandising

Description

What creates a store environment that invites you to enter and encourages you to stay and browse? By the end of this course you will know that it is a store design that effectively utilises basic principles and elements drawn from the art world – colour, balance, rhythm, emphasis and proportion – to create a welcoming place for shoppers to purchase goods and services.
Visual Merchandisers create window and interior displays and merchandise the product in the store. They aim to maximise sales and attract customers by presenting the store in an appealing way while reinforcing the store’s overall image. The merchandiser carrying out the design concept and strategic plans, is the person who makes the store and its merchandise come to life.
